Update Time

It has been too long since I posted images of my creations so today is the day. HOpefully this won't take long and won't be too painful... for me!!

A quick update on my scrappy life. Most weekends these days it seems that if I am not out and about with my darling 6 yr old son.. then I am at home scrapping up a storm. I mostly make cards and the occassional OTP (off the page) album etc.

A about 3-4 weeks ago I made this going away tag album for a good friend Calley who has moved to sunny Mackay. We all wrote a special message on it to wish her well. (Papers by Kaisercraft - Utopia Range)

Next we have a Kaisercraft Journal book using the lovely Lily Avenue Kaisercraft range of papers.

(Not a very good image but you get the idea. It was very pretty in real life.)

In the hot pink we have a purse style card and sticky note holder I made for Ben's grade 1 teacher whose birthday was back in May (I think it was May) I found out in the morning it was her birthday raced to the shops bought the raw kaisercraft Note Holder and came home and made the card and decorated the note holder all before 11.30am same day! One of the quickest creations I have ever made but I was so happy with how it turned out. Plus the teacher loved it also. Ben was proud as punch telling everyone that his mummy made it!!

Anyway thats if from me for now. I just rememebered why I don't do updates very often. Blogger takes so long to load pictures.

Promise to come back more often with more regular updates. I need to find out how I can do mobile updates since these days I am on my iphone most of the time. Is that even possible with blogger? If you have any answers on this please post a comment :)

Kaisercraft Blog Party

Hi There.. Christmas is just around the corner

Did you know that Christmas is only just around the corner! It is only 44 sleeps, 6 weekends.... 3 more pay days!!! (well 3 more for me anyway!!)

So I thought since Christmas is just around the corner that I would show off some of the Christmas Cards I have made so far for 2009.

With Christmas so close I have start to make Christmas cards early this year. I will be taking them into work soon for those interested to purchase some. These days I mostly make cards but I also can make personalized gifts for friends and family. So if you want to give a handmade gift for a special person in your life like you mum, sister, nana, grandma etc then my Crafty Christmas ideas might interest you!!!

Basic Grey is Back

Hi Guys - Just a quick note to let you all know that Basic Grey is back with a new blog and challenges. Check it out sometime on the blinkie to the left :) Hopefully I will get a chance to do some of these challenges in the near future. I sure do need some motivation!!

I have been interested in setting up a Blog Hop if anyone is interested let me know and I will start a list of blogs when I get at least 20 interested I will send out intructions.

Recent Cards for Various occassions

Well I have been making a few cards as events come up. So I thought it might be time to update my blog for the few people that pop on here from time to time.
I went to the Brisbane Papercraft expo last weekend and I bought a heap of new embellishments which I can hopefully use to great some fun new cards in the coming months. I have some plastic sleeves being delivered so that I can start making cards and selling them at places. Just need to make the time to do this.

Actually this is a card and matching door hanger I made last year for a dear little friend of mine Harlem who was turning 3 at the time. :)

A wedding shaker card (first attempt) Wasn't all that pleased with it.

I made this for a friend whose dad was turning 60!!

This was a large card made C5 size for my Great Aunty who was turning 90!

Anyway I do have some more so will come back another day and post some more. I really need to get some mojo happening after a few weeks off card making. Bit carded out after Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day

To all the mum's recieving one of my handmade cards today. I hope you love your card as it was chosen with love from your special family member. Have a great day!!

Below is the special card I made for my mum! I saw the flower pot idea on the Splitcoast Stampers website. There is a ribbon loop sticking out between the two top flowers which allows you to pull it up which reveals the card area to write your greeting.. sliding upwards from inside the pot. :) Bit difficult to explain. I should have taken a picture of the sliding out action! Oh well. I am sure mum will love my card. Well I hope so! :)

A Baby's Gift - Time Capsule

My sister asked me to make a gift for a Baby Naming Ceremony she is going to. So I decided to make this time capsule. These papers used are from Sassafrass Lass - these papers are new at my LSS. I just loved the brightness and abstract design. I have used a port tin which I saved. If you want me to make one for you just let me know! They are such fun to make. I made a mini stats book for inside the tin. With room for the parents to record details from Tylers Birth, Milestones - to record the first date of baby's first smile, First steps, crawling, Favourite foods, Favourite toys etc There is also a spot for a photo! In the tin I hope that the parents can keep items from when Tyler was a baby such as first shoes, baby singlet, Hospital braclet etc. Thanks for looking.

Mothers Day Cards

Well I was busy last night and then again this morning finishing off some more cards. We were supposed to go to Soccer but it has been raining since Thursday so if was called off. :( But yeah for me as a wet weather day means I might get some more time to make cards.

This first one is for a friend at work who is leaving. I have to say Thank you to Tiff for posting the Utube link to show me how they make those Lollypop Flowers! I have been eyeing them off for ages. I always forget U tube for these things.

For the cards that I have not put any writing on the front like the "I love you Mum" card. I have purposely left them this way so that I can personalise them for you. If you order early enough! This way if when Mothers Day is over - Hopefully I won't be stuck with lots of Mothers day only cards. These designs would be suitable for Birthdays, thank you's or any special occassion.
