Recent Cards for Various occassions

Well I have been making a few cards as events come up. So I thought it might be time to update my blog for the few people that pop on here from time to time.
I went to the Brisbane Papercraft expo last weekend and I bought a heap of new embellishments which I can hopefully use to great some fun new cards in the coming months. I have some plastic sleeves being delivered so that I can start making cards and selling them at places. Just need to make the time to do this.
Anyway check out some of my new cards and let me know what you think.

Actually this is a card and matching door hanger I made last year for a dear little friend of mine Harlem who was turning 3 at the time. :)

A wedding shaker card (first attempt) Wasn't all that pleased with it.

I made this for a friend whose dad was turning 60!!

This was a large card made C5 size for my Great Aunty who was turning 90!

Anyway I do have some more so will come back another day and post some more. I really need to get some mojo happening after a few weeks off card making. Bit carded out after Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day

To all the mum's recieving one of my handmade cards today. I hope you love your card as it was chosen with love from your special family member. Have a great day!!

Below is the special card I made for my mum! I saw the flower pot idea on the Splitcoast Stampers website. There is a ribbon loop sticking out between the two top flowers which allows you to pull it up which reveals the card area to write your greeting.. sliding upwards from inside the pot. :) Bit difficult to explain. I should have taken a picture of the sliding out action! Oh well. I am sure mum will love my card. Well I hope so! :)

More Mothers Day Cards

Here are some more of my Mothers Days Cards I have made. Most of these have sold but its not too late if you still want to get one .. Just pop me a note and I can make you one this weekend. A Baby's Gift - Time Capsule

My sister asked me to make a gift for a Baby Naming Ceremony she is going to. So I decided to make this time capsule. These papers used are from Sassafrass Lass - these papers are new at my LSS. I just loved the brightness and abstract design. I have used a port tin which I saved. If you want me to make one for you just let me know! They are such fun to make. I made a mini stats book for inside the tin. With room for the parents to record details from Tylers Birth, Milestones - to record the first date of baby's first smile, First steps, crawling, Favourite foods, Favourite toys etc There is also a spot for a photo! In the tin I hope that the parents can keep items from when Tyler was a baby such as first shoes, baby singlet, Hospital braclet etc. Thanks for looking.

Mothers Day Cards

Well I was busy last night and then again this morning finishing off some more cards. We were supposed to go to Soccer but it has been raining since Thursday so if was called off. :( But yeah for me as a wet weather day means I might get some more time to make cards.

This first one is for a friend at work who is leaving. I have to say Thank you to Tiff for posting the Utube link to show me how they make those Lollypop Flowers! I have been eyeing them off for ages. I always forget U tube for these things.

For the cards that I have not put any writing on the front like the "I love you Mum" card. I have purposely left them this way so that I can personalise them for you. If you order early enough! This way if when Mothers Day is over - Hopefully I won't be stuck with lots of Mothers day only cards. These designs would be suitable for Birthdays, thank you's or any special occassion. Some of my latest Cards

This was for a friend's Wedding Congratulations/Good Luck card.
It looks much nicer irl (in real life).

I have been making lots of cards lately so I thought it was time I put some more up for everyone to get some ideas. I am also going to be making lots of cards in April suitable for Mothers Day. Wedding Card

My friend at work asked me to make this card for her sisters wedding. I am really pleased with how it turned out. It too a while for the inspiration to come ... not sure why... But anyway here it is. I have used Stampin Up swirly stamp embossed with Gold. I even got out a needle and thread and stitched the two hearts together. It is bright and funky (I think?) Let me know what you think?

I must pop back later and add the other cards I have made over the last few months. Been slack some I have even forgotten to take pics of. Anyways ..Have a great SUNDAY!
